Summer Camp FAQs

Early Drop-off. Early drop-off is available at 8:00am for $10/day.

Late Pick-up. Late pick-up is available up to  5:00pm for $15/day.

After sign up for camp a form will be available to select your days for extended drop-off and pick-up.

Location. We are located at 325 Lake Road in Bowmanville.

​

What to Wear. Our camp is indoors and outdoors. A change of clothes is recommended as there may be water activities on certain days. Light weight comfortable clothes for the hot days.  We are a very active camp so wear shorts or track pants. A towel, hat and sunscreen is also recommended.

Cancellations and Refunds. If you need to cancel there is a $75 administration fee if cancellation is received prior to 30 days from camp start date. After this period no refunds are given. However you can transfer your enrollment to another child that meets the age requirements.

If you need to cancel due to medical reasons, upon receiving a medical note a credit will be issued that can be used towards another kids program or adult program.

Medical Conditions. If your child has a medical situation that we need to be aware of provide all the details in your registration form so we can assist properly as needed.

Food Considerations. Please do not send products with any form of nuts. Children should always bring  a lunch, 2 snacks and water each day. We often give out freezies on the last day. If your child is not permitted one please let us know.

Photos/Videos. We will capture fun moments throughout the camp with photos and videos to share with parents and showcase the exciting activities. If you prefer that your child not be included in photos or videos, please let us know at registration.

Summer Camp Code of Conduct

1. Respect for All

  • Mutual Respect: Treat all campers, staff, and visitors with courtesy and kindness. Discriminatory language or behavior, including bullying, harassment, or any form of abuse, will not be tolerated.

  • Communication: Use respectful language in all interactions. Listen actively and speak considerately.

2. Safety and Well-Being

  • Follow Instructions: Adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions provided by camp staff during activities, excursions, and daily routines.

  • Report Concerns: Immediately inform a staff member of any unsafe conditions, behavior, or emergencies.

  • No Dangerous Behavior: Avoid actions that could harm yourself or others. This includes running in unsafe areas, excessive horseplay, or any behavior that compromises camp safety.

3. Personal Responsibility and Accountability

  • Punctuality and Participation: Arrive on time for scheduled activities and participate actively. Respect the camp schedule and designated meeting points.

  • Property and Environment: Take responsibility for your personal belongings and treat camp facilities and natural surroundings with care. Clean up after yourself and help maintain a tidy environment.

4. Electronic Devices Policy

  • Device-Free Environment: Campers are expected to leave all electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, and other gadgets, at home.

  • Limited Access: If any electronic devices are brought to camp, they will be collected by staff at the beginning of each day and securely stored. These devices will be returned at the end of the day only, ensuring that the focus remains on the camp experience.

5. Conflict Resolution

  • Resolve Peacefully: Address any conflicts calmly and respectfully. If necessary, seek assistance from camp staff to resolve issues.

  • Constructive Feedback: Offer any concerns or suggestions regarding camp activities or management in a respectful and constructive manner.

6. Consequences and Accountability

  • Enforcement: Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension of privileges, or dismissal from camp, depending on the severity of the behaviour. Refunds will not be provided in the event a camper is dismissed due to behaviour concerns.

  • Acknowledgment: All campers (and their guardians, where applicable) are expected to read, understand, and sign this Code of Conduct prior to the commencement of camp.

7. Commitment to a Positive Camp Experience

  • Community Spirit: Participation in this camp is a shared commitment to creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to a positive and memorable camp experience.

  • Feedback: We welcome ongoing feedback to help improve the camp environment. Please feel free to share your thoughts with the camp staff.
